Coffee and Conversation

Now that school has started it's coffee time. The first parent coffee will be held this Friday at the Starbucks on Colesville Rd at 8:15 am. Janet, could you please send this email out to the parents on your list and would it be possible to put it on the Thornton web site (I can't find the parent pages, are they gone?)?

Last year we had informal parent coffee's at Starbucks on the 3rd Friday of the month from 8:15 am until around 9:30. We alternated between the Starbucks on Colesville Road (in the shopping center with the Trader Joe's), and the Starbucks on Rockville Pike (Rt. 355, next to the Barnes and Nobles Bookstore). See below for directions. Note: Dates are open to change as needed.

Drop your kids off at school early/get them on the bus, and come meet with other parents to share parenting tips, stories, headaches, ask school related questions and get support.

So...below are the details including directions from the school:

When: 3rd Friday morning Sept.- May

Time: 8:15 am - around 9:30

Where: Starbucks on Colesville Rd. (in the shopping center with the Trader Joe's), or Starbucks on 355/Wisconsin Ave.(next to the Barnes and Nobles)

Dates and locations for the entire year:

Jan. 18th, Colesville Rd.

Feb. 15th, 355/Rockville Pike Barnes and Nobles

March 21st, Colesville Rd.

April 18th, 355/Rockville Pike Barnes and Nobles

May 16th, Colesville Rd.

Directions to Colesville Rd. Starbucks: Leaving school, go south on New Hampshire Ave. Stay in the left lane and take a left to go south on Colesville Rd. The Starbucks will be on your left (look for the Trader Joe's.

Mapquest directions from the upper school to the Colesville Rd. Starbucks:

Directions to Rockville Starbucks: Leaving school, go south on New Hampshire Ave. Take a left on Randolph Rd. (head west). At Rockville Pike take a right (head north). The Barnes and Nobles and Starbucks will be on your right.
