News, Letters and Contacts!Kara Pekar writes:I’m specifically looking for people who attended from 1976 – 1980 (they may have graduated after ’80, but would have been there then.) Most particularly, I’m after the six other people who graduated in 1980. Thornton/the Interlocking Curriculum was an off-campus program of Sandy Spring Friends School until 1980. SSFS’s class of 1980 is holding a 30th reunion in conjunction with SSFS’s Alumni Weekend this coming June 4-6. I thought it would be nice to get in touch with and invite the other members of my IC graduating class to the SSFS reunion. Until part-way through our senior year, when the IC received its accreditation, we were technically students of SSFS. I suspect some of my IC classmates would be interested in seeing their SSFS contemporaries. Sincerely, Kara M. [Sherwood] Pekar (daughter of Lynn & Bill Godwin, co-founders of The Interlocking Curriculum/Thornton Friends School) If you want to get in touch with Kara, email me and I will send you her email address.
Ian Hall-Hough writes:Hi, this is Ian Hall-Hough updating you on my info. I am so heartbroken about Thornton; there are too few places in this world. I currently live in Alexandria, VA, and I'm in between jobs, so I'm working at a restaurant, called Cafe Pizzaiolo. The reason I'm in between jobs is that I quit my former job as a mental health counselor to hike the Appalachian Trail this summer. I did about 600 miles of it before it got really old. Anyway I'm not sure if you're updating people's info anymore, but that's mine in case you are. Any way to access other people's info? Thanks, Love and Light, Ian If you want to get in touch with Ian, email me and I will send you his email address.
